We're so glad you'd like to join us! These groups are open to both former and new support group participants. Join us for one, two, or all three. No interviews necessary. Email questions to [email protected]

Please note that this is not a group for caregivers, families, and allies of disabled folks. We appreciate you, but we want the focus to stay on those of us with lived experience as queer and trans disabled and chronically ill people.
This group is 18+

By registering, you consent to the following Group Agreements:
Confidentiality Agreement
What is shared in the room stays in the room. We honor each other’s privacy and will not disclose personal information shared within this space.
Speak From Your Own Experience
We are all unique in our bodies and experiences. Please share your perspective using “I” statements and avoid offering unsolicited advice or suggesting treatments. What works for one person may not work for another. Respect each other’s autonomy and agency in finding what support means for them.
Self-Care and Boundaries
We encourage each participant to prioritize their own well-being. Take breaks when you need to and reach out to facilitators if you need extra support. If you’re activated or feeling overwhelmed, use your tools to tend to yourself, and let us know if you need anything. This space is for your healing, and we honor that process. At the same time, this is a peer support group and not a crisis service. There may be times that your needs are beyond the scope of this offering, and we will refer you to other services.
Anti-Oppressive Behavior
This is a space for everyone to feel supported and heard. We recognize that we all hold different privileges and face different oppressions, and we commit to creating a welcoming environment for all identities. Impact matters more than intention. If someone is harmed, let’s approach it with care and a willingness to learn. Be gentle with each other; we are all doing our best in a world that doesn’t always support us.
We want to emphasize that this is a space that actively works to challenge oppression—whether that be based on race, disability, class, gender, sexuality, or any other form of systemic harm. Everyone's experience is different, and while this group may at times be predominantly white, we strive to center and uplift the experiences of those who are marginalized by race, ability, and other intersecting factors.
Inclusive Space for Diverse Experiences
While this group is focused on disability and chronic illness, we acknowledge that these experiences are not the same for everyone. We recognize that Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) may experience disability and chronic illness in ways that are shaped by race, colonization, and systemic injustice. We are committed to supporting everyone’s experience and actively creating space to listen, learn, and be accountable.

Other Important Guidelines
  • Scent-Free Policy: Please avoid wearing scented products (such as perfume, cologne, or heavily scented lotions) to ensure the comfort of those with chemical sensitivities. Please note that while the space is low scent outside of group hours, it is not scent free. There are also dogs that frequent the space outside of group hours.
  • Masking Policy: Please wear an N95, KF94, or similar mask while attending group sessions. This helps ensure the health and safety of all participants, especially those with compromised immune systems.
  • Illness Policy: Please refrain from attending if you are feeling unwell, including having cold or flu-like symptoms. If you’ve been in contact with someone who has known or suspected COVID-19, we ask that you refrain from attending.

Refund & Cancellation Policy: We understand that life happens. If you need to cancel, please let us know at least 24 hours before the group. This gives us time to offer the spot to someone else. Refunds will be issued for cancellations made within this time frame. The group is nonrefundable within 24 hours of the group.

Reminder: This group is here for you, and we ask that you bring your full self, honoring both your joys and struggles. Together, we can build a space where everyone feels seen, valued, and heard.
